Hours of operation: Monday 11 to 5 ... Tuesday 11 to 5 ... Wednesday 11 to 6 ... Saturday 10 to 2
The library is located at 3427 Main Street in Cottonwood. Telephone 347-4818

Because we are currently and always will be a community-supported library, we receive no government funding of any kind. We have one part time paid staff member who oversees the day to day running of the library, and approximately 20 actively involved volunteers who perform circulation desk duties, shelving, cataloguing, and general library clerk duties. We are fortunate to have three volunteers who go out into the community day care centers to do storytime, one volunteer who delivers books to a shut-in senior, and five tutors who work with Hispanic families on instruction in the English language. The library's entire revenue is raised through fundraisers, grants, and from a show of support from patrons and business partners in our rural area.

Here some ways you can help.

FRIENDS OF THE COTTONWOOD COMMUNITY LIBRARY "Friends of the Cottonwood Community Library" was established for the community members who are interested in and want to support the Cottonwood Community Library. It offers the opportunity to be involved with the library by keeping current with the news and improvements that are being made. A colored newsletter is mailed to your home every two months for a yearly membership level of your choosing. The membership dues afford the community member an opportunity to show their support monetarily and become a contributing member to this important community asset. Once a year we hold an Annual Membership meeting to honor our "Friends" and invite input from them. We also appreciate further involvement if so desired.

STEWARDS OF THE COTTONWOOD COMMUNITY LIBRARY
"Stewards of the Cottonwood Community Library" is the next step in supporting our library monetarily. Because we are a community library and receive no outside funding, we work continuously to find the money necessary to continue to provide this service to the Cottonwood area. If you believe that literacy is vital to a healthy community, believe that reading brings quality and enjoyment to a person's life, believe that this library should be an ongoing service to the community, and have the ability to contribute, we invite you to join in this program. The Stewards contribute to the basic monthly costs of keeping the doors open. These funds cover the cost of utilities, computer costs, insurance, etc. If we can only find 20 people who can give at the gold level, we are assured of keeping the doors open. This would surely be a great gift to future generations.

Here is an easy way to help out the Cottonwood Community Library!!
Did you know that thanks to Holiday Market, the library can now be the designation for your WOW points that you accumulate while shopping? Each time you earn 1000 points, tell them you want the credit to go to the Cottonwood Community Library. For each group of 1000 points you turn in, the library receives $20. Think how quickly that can add up if everyone does this! Check your latest receipt. If you have more than 100 points, let the checker at Holiday Market know that you want those points to go to the library. Your money stays in Cottonwood - and the library profits from it! What could be better or easier? Thank you for your support!
