Watermelons
Watermelon Wishes by Lisa Moser Peter Spit a Seed at Sue by Jackie French Koller Sample watermelon and take part in a seed shooting contest.

September 14:

Mice
The Mouse, the Cat, and Grandmother's Hat by Nancy Willard Mouse Mess by Linnea Riley Make a mouse finger puppet and share its story.

September 21:

Charlie the Ranch Dog by Ree Drummond (The Pioneer Woman)
This story chronicles a day on the ranch with Charlie, a very special dog.

September 28:

In a Small, Small Pond by Denise Fleming
An observation of all the activities of the many creatures found in this small, small pond.

Know What I Saw? by Aileen Fisher
In this book, a child numbers the wonderful things she sees on a full day of observing.

October 12

Olivia by Ian Flaconer
Olivia, the imaginative pig, enjoys a few adventures that only spark her lively imagination all the more.

October 19

The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza by Philemon Sturgess
and Hold the Anchovies by Shelly Rotner. These two books showcase pizza and the making thereof.

October 26

Halloween
Once When I Was Scared by Ted Rand. Take home a Halloween craft.

November 2

Career Day by Anne Rockwell and Car Wash by Sandra and Susan Steen.
The first book explores careers shared at one child's school on career day. The second book is an imaginative spin from a child's eyes on the simple fun of sitting in the car as it is washed.

November 9

Squirrels, Nuts, and Leaves
The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin by Beatrix Potter and Getting to Know Nature's Children. Participate in some nutty activities.

November 16

When the Moon is Full by Penny Pollock.
This book expands on the phases of the moon and the beautiful countryside it illuminates.
