| Cottonwood is located near Redding in Northern California. In the earliest years it was a stop on the way to the gold diggings. When the railroad came, it became a shipping point for cattle, sheep, and crops. Some of the frontier town still exists. Front Street is still wide enough for a freight wagon team to turn around. Cowboys still frequent watering holes, and the Branding Iron Restaurant. Main Street still has the feel of 1950-60 Hiway 99. Lucky for us locals there is no McDonalds, Wendys or Burger King in town. We do have food services; they are nearly all local establishments.
Now Cottonwood is most known for its quality public schools. It is something of a bedroom community to Redding. It is also becoming a home for the retired and self-employed. Horse lovers abound. Four-H and FFA still make better youths. Awards by Martin ![]() Badges, Pins, Trophy, Ribbons, Engraving |
