On February 14th the Cottonwood Community Library celebrated Valentine’s Day with author and storyteller, Linda Boyden who presented “A Bushel and a Peck of Valentine Fun”. The library’s Preschool Story Time children shared her books, songs and some cuddly friends who helped Linda bring her stories to life. Linda taught elementary school for many years. In 1997 she decided to give up teaching to become a full-time writer. Since then she has had poems and articles published as well as her first picture book, The Blue Roses. She teaches currently at Sylvan Learning in Redding and presents author visits and storytelling at schools and libraries locally and across the country. Homemade cookies and a Valentines craft activity were included in the program as well. Cottonwood Community Library Story Time is every Wednesday from 12 Noon – 1PM.
