The wildfires near us are mostly out. Clear blue sky. It has been smoky since the end of June. Garden looking better.

Picking a few tomatoes. The ones we put in 5 gallon pots are doing better than the ones in the ground.

The birds got all of our grapes, most of the peaches and every almond. I think the fires have pushed the birds into the valley. Oh well we are feeding wildlife.
Three sisters (corn, beans, squash) look really good.

June, 2008.
Hot dry winds made it hard to keep plants watered. Running drip sys every day. (twice sometimes.) Lightning from a dry thunderstorm started hundreds of fires.

May, 2008.
Tomatoes, peppers, basil in the cold frame doing good. Better than those in south windowsill.
Germination was good but should have transplanted into medium pots and need a bigger cold frame next year.
March, 2008.
Started seeds for Homestead, McGee , Oroma tomatoes. Bell and Jalepeno peppers. Basil
